Emanuel School is a ten minute walk from Clapham Junction. The majority of classrooms are located in an impressive 19th century building surrounded by 12 acres of green space. Consequently, the school is able to provide a very strong offering in sports and the arts. The Head of two years is warm and approachable and places a strong emphasis on the mental health of his students. Unusually for London, Emanuel has its own chapel and two chaplains who provide spiritual and emotional support for the community. The school is not in the top tier of London schools academically, however it does offer a well-rounded education with lots of extracurricular activities in an unusually lovely setting for inner London. There are entry points at 10+ (24 places), 11+ (96 places), 13+ (6-8 places) and 16+ (20 places.) At 11+ children will sit a Maths and English exam and have an interview.
