Based near Portabello, there is no sign on the door to alert you of the existence of this very popular nursery. Well-organised and attractive facilities and space within church hall space are immediately eye catching and there is a calm and focused atmosphere to the learning. There is no outdoor area but there is a substantial indoor hall used for a range of extra-curricular classes and extensive daily opportunites for gross motor development through dance, sport and outside learning. Strawberry Fields is run by experienced and warm head and proprietor, Maureen Turner who priorities and pays for the highest quality staff with an impressively high number of fully qualified teachers. It shows- the result is a happy nusery with a proactive parent community and an excellent reputation for preparing for competitive 4+ assessments.
There are over 14 clubs available during the school day including outdoor adventure, French club, SF Engineers, Tennis, drama, Gardening, science and swimming. Youngest children there are a maximum of 16 in a group with 3 teachers. The older children 3 years can expand to up to 20 in a group with three teachers however there are also specialist teacher coming in and two fully qualified teachers out of classes who float in and out when needed. Strawberry Fields Nursery needs early registration and again likely to offer an afternoon place for non-siblings.

Fees: fees for a half day place, either morning or afternoon, are currently £4590 per term in either the lower or upper nursery. fees for optional additional full day sessions (upper nursery only) are currently £1050 per term per additional full day session, to include the cost of the extra-curricular activities that form part of our full day programme, eg. Tennis, Swimming, Forest School.
